I been changing and tweaking the poems and I’m now in the process of finishing off the book. I’ve whittled over 60 of the best poems down to about 45, culled about 50 photos from over 200 I liked. The document is almost ready to go to press, just waiting on our isbn.
Great News – Forgotten Trees as a book!
I had some poems I’d been working on and I’ve decided to make Forgotten trees into a three-level piece: music, graphics and text. There will be a 100 page book of photos and poems to complement the CD. Get both, read the book and look at the photos (which are new, not available electronically through the website) and listen to the music in the background (with a cup of herbal tea, perhaps). Intended release date is April 19th – at the moment just working through a sizing problem with the CD tray insert.

Another Podcast
The track There Were Once Seven from phantomshadows appeared on the W A L K M A N podcast #21 on March 14th.
Currents Limited Edition photos done
I’ve created the 40 sets of images to go with the limited edition disks – sets of 30 tiles, from a total of 72; no two sets are the same. Just off to collect the prints now. Will get the slicks printed in the next few days, then make the sets available through the website.
Currents CDs arrived
The first shipment of the Venus Vulture Currents CDs arrived yesterday and they look great. I’ll spend the next week or so getting the sets prepared, then make them available from the website. I’ll put a photo up of how the set will look – slim DVD case, two disks and a photoset.
Track featured on Still Audio
The track There Were Once Seven from phantomshadows features on Simon Chapman’s Still Audio podcast # 7 Close Your Eyes. Still Audio “is a music podcast featuring an eclectic mixture of calming electronica.” Check out some of the other podcasts too – Simon’s creating a great selection of music gathered from netlabels around the world.
Habitat on bookhabit
My novel Habitat is available now at BookHabit. It’s a science fiction thriller, aimed at young adults, but could be enjoyed by anybody (aren’t all sci-fi readers young adults at heart?)
Writing page updated
I’ll be tutoring creative writing again this year, so I’ve updated the writing page on the website, with a bibliography too. Also located the link to another story I had in dotlit, so I’ve included that too.
Bookhabit.com is a new site devoted to ebooks – I’m going to upload a novel there in the next few days … will post when it’s there.
Radio Interview tomorrow
For those of you in the Palmerston North area, I’m getting interviewed about phantomshadows on Access Radio Saturday 23rd at 10.30am. Listen in on 999am.
